Kevin J. Duggan is a renowned expert in applying advanced lean techniques to achieve Operational Excellence and the author of four books on the subject: Design for Operational Excellence: A Breakthrough Strategy for Business Growth, Creating Mixed Model Value Streams, Operational Excellence in Your Office: A Guide to Achieving Autonomous Value Stream Flow with Lean Techniques and Beyond the Lean Office: A Novel on Progressing from Lean Tools to Operational Excellence. As the Founder of the Institute for Operational Excellence, the leading educational center on Operational Excellence, and Duggan Associates, an international training and advisory firm, Kevin has assisted many major corporations worldwide, including FMC Technologies, Chromalloy, Aetna, SpaceX, Caterpillar, Pratt & Whitney, Singapore Airlines, Sikorsky, IDEX Corporation and Parker Hannifin. A recognized expert on Operational Excellence, Kevin is a frequent keynote speaker, master of ceremonies, and panelist at international conferences, and has appeared on CNN and the Fox Business Network.
Liz Duggan, MBA
Director of Marketing
Liz Duggan has over ten years of brand marketing experience and currently leads strategic initiatives to grow the Institute for OpEx’s training programs, webinars, products and member resources. In her role, she oversees all marketing, public relations and communications activities and manages live and online events. Well-versed in the lean and OpEx industry, Liz is also responsible for managing strategic alliances, developing relevant content and leading new product development. Liz holds a BS in Marketing and a Master’s in Business Administration, and has studied graphic design at the Rhode Island School of Design.

Institute for Operational Excellence Senior Faculty Member Kirk Bolton teaches organizations the methodology and practical application to achieve Operational Excellence. He has assisted numerous companies worldwide, including FMC Technologies, United Technologies Corporation, Cloverhill Bakery, and Dexter Magnetics. Kirk’s work on advanced value stream design in manufacturing has been published in Industrial Engineering and Kirk is a frequent speaker at events such as Assembly Automation and Technology Expo, IIE’s Lean and Quality Conference, and the Institute’s Value Stream Design for Operational Excellence live training event. Before joining the Institute, Kirk worked with Freudenberg-NOK for 15 years, where he served as Plant Manager. His plants have been benchmarked by more than 50 companies and been awarded top honors for manufacturing excellence.

Institute for Operational Excellence Faculty Member Tim Healey specializes in teaching the principles of Operational Excellence in the business process sector in areas such as product development, finance, HR, engineering, and marketing. He is the co-author of the book Operational Excellence in Your Office: A Guide to Achieving Autonomous Value Stream Flow with Lean Techniques, has been published in Quality Digest, and is a frequent speaker on lean office topics at conferences such as IIE Annual Conference and the Mid-Atlantic Lean Conference and the Institute’s Operational Excellence in Your Office live training workshop. Tim has worked globally with organizations such as Parker Hannifin, United Technologies Corporation, Bayer Healthcare, and Curtiss Wright. Prior to joining the Institute, Tim served as national business manager for H.J. Heinz in Sydney and as a brand manager for British American Tobacco.
